Made because I just got the Vector and realized they expect you to mount it with sticky tape! Inspired by an awesome APM mount I found on the net that isn't made for the Vector.

FEATURES:

-Full silicone ball suspended mount

-Full capture of vector flight controller without using sticky tape or rubber bands!

-Lower mount has holes for standard 45mm x 45mm flight controller mounting found on many frames

-Mounts via slots with +-5mm on 45mm to adjust FC to multirotor center of gravity

-30mm through hole in lower mount for wire management

-All Vector FC ports remain accessible when mounted

If there is enough interest, I may release a modified version with a flat upper mount to drill custom mounting holes in for other flight controllers.

For best results, print with 0.4mm or smaller nozzle, 0.1mm layer height.

REQUIRED PARTS:

-(4) 5mm silicone ball mounts
(designed around HK 5mm x 14mm silicone ball mounts with 3mm bore diameter)

-(4) 3mm or smaller diameter screws to secure lower mount to your multirotor frame

-(1) 18mm or smaller velcro strap to secure rear of flight controller to provided loops on upper mount

::HIGHLY RECOMMENDED::

(4) retaining bolts and nuts to secure the silicone mounts during high speed maneuvering

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:

See completed assembly image above.

NOTE 1: Printing the retainer separately alleviates the support issue that would have occurred had it been made as one piece. The retaining clip tabs are 1mm longer than the wall thickness of the slots on the upper mount. This was by design, but the tabs are just a bit too long for the flex allowed by the upper mount uprights. Until I get it fixed, I recommend simply cutting them short enough to snap them in long enough to glue/epoxy. If anyone prints using ABS and ends up with enough flex to get them in, please comment!

NOTE 2: The upper mount cavity is slightly larger than the vector in all dimensions (<1mm). This is to accommodate differences in print quality, flow rate error, etc. I am mounting mine with a piece of HK 3mm anti-vibe foam pad under it to force it snug against the retaining clip and strap. YOU MUST PLACE SOMETHING UNDER THE FLIGHT CONTROLLER TO SNUG IT UP AND KEEP IT FROM VIBRATING IN THE MOUNT!
