The Resolution Apple is to demonstrate the different resolutions available through the MakerBot Desktop settings. When printed, one can compare the print surfaces and discover what makes resolutions different.

This model is part of the Print Kit found in MakerBot in the Classroom (http://www.makerbot.com/education). Each print serves as a visual aid to help describe basic concepts, terminology, and/or settings associated with 3D Printing.

Download the .makerbot file and place the file on your usb stick. The .makerbot file is for a MakerBot Replicator Desktop 3D Printer (5th Generation).

If you need to print this file on other MakerBot Replicators, please download the .stl file and bring into MakerBot Desktop. Select the correct printer from the Device dropdown in the file menu bar. Make sure that Supports from Settings is NOT selected. For each component set either high, low, or standard resolution. Make sure each slice is different and that the resolution matches what the file says. You will need to print each resolution separately. The stem you should print high resolution. Export the file or print directly.
