Protective shield for a Fatshark-type FPV minicam. The shield portion is tilted upward at a 4-degree angle to aid in keeping the horizon in view during forward flight in a quadcopter.

The mount should be able to accommodate any FPV-type camera with base dimensions of about 22 mm square x 30 mm long max.

There are 2 stl files - the "FS" version is meant for a Fatshark cam (it has a cutout in the back for the connector). The other stl file has a solid back.

UPDATE 6/23/15: During my tests of the Fatshark version, I realized that there is not enough surface on the back wall for securely mounting via double-sided tape (due to the cutout for the connector). So I incorporated barneyj's simple Fatshark camera clip (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:841947) into my design.

Print and use!

There are screw holes on the bottom of the base you can use to secure the mount to a surface. If you use screws you need to install them before the camera (well at least the one within the barrel portion).

I simply double-stick tape my camera to the back wall of the mount.

For the Fatshark with clip version, the clip is intended to hold the cam in place without the use of tape.
