Descrição
3D printable ravioli rolling pin designed for use with home pasta rollers, such as KitchenAid stand mixer attachment. As designed, this roller produces raviolis that are 57mm square (2.25 inches).
Instruções
- Designed as a parametric solid model in SolidWorks 2014 (source files attached). Feature sizes can be adjusted by editing the driving equations.
- Prepared for printing using Cura (ultimaker.com), and printed on an Ultimaker Original (ultimaker.com), with heated bed. PLA. 220C nozzle, 60C bed, "fast" printing profile. Between 6 and 7 hours to print. If so inclined, seal the printed roller with an epoxy coating, such as Smooth-On XTC-3D (amazon.com). I didn't bother.
- Ravioli dough and filling prepared as a variant of this Mario Batali recipe (foodnetwork.com). I like to use Antimo Caputo 00 flour (amazon.com). Some cooked and finely chopped sausage is also a nice addition to the filling.
- Dough rolled using Kitchenaid stand mixer (amazon.com) pasta roller attachment, starting at setting 1, and ending at 5, with a few passes at each setting.
- Per recipe, spread filling in thin layer across half of the sheet of dough, then fold the other half over the top.
- Press the roller across the top layer to form raviolis
- Trim using a ravioli / pastry wheel. (amazon.com), or better yet MEH4d's pasta cutter (thingiverse.com).
- Spread on a tray, and freeze, then store frozen in a ziptop bag.
- Enjoy!
