Robotic quadruped designed for educational electronics environments. Remixed from @TheCase Mini Quadruped - optimized for 9G servos.
The parts of the robot is 3dprinter-friendly, use "micro servo 9g" specifically designed to work with cheap servos "TowerPro". Still, you can adjust the dimensions thereof to suit the needs.

Some modifications are:

  • Solid chassis.
  • Added base for batteries and Arduino.
  • Side opening for easy mounting of the servo.
  • Restrain for the servo horn.
  • Modified tolerances to minimize post-processing.
  • Added bases in the legs to use self adhesive rubber buttons, to improve grip.

Instruções

  1. Print (8x servo_button; 8x shoulder; 4x leg; 1x tray; 1x arduino_base; 1x chassis).
  2. Screw the four servos to the chassis using two servo screws.
  3. Screw a servo on each leg using two servo screws.
  4. Screw pairs of shoulders using two M3x6 screws. (recomended: do not use washers, only a nut per screw).
  5. For each shoulder: Places servo horn and servo button inside shoulder. Then fit the servo on the shoulder and screw the servo horn to the servo using servo screws. Make sure the servo is in the correct position and can perform all the way.
  6. Press the tray against the chassis until it clicks.
  7. Screw Arduino base on the tray using two M3x35 screws. (recomended: do not use washers, only a nut per screw). Between the tray and the Arduino base must be placed the battery holder.
  8. Screw the Arduino up the Arduino base using four M3x10 screws. (recomended: do not use washers, only a nut per screw).
  9. Program and enjoy it.
