Just finished designing and printing my very first phone stand.
Designed specifically around my Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra with a Quad Lock case because I wanted something built around my actual setup instead of using a generic stand.
I made a few design choices that I’m pretty happy with:
• The front lip is just high enough to securely hold the phone in place while staying low enough that it doesn’t interfere with the screen • Added extra support underneath the mount to help reduce wobble and make it feel more solid on the desk • The cable cutout is chamfered so there are no sharp edges rubbing against your charging cable • The charging port opening is wider, which also leaves part of the bottom speaker exposed if you want to listen to music, videos, or calls while docked • Cut a channel into the base so the charging cable sits cleanly underneath instead of getting pinched or pushing the stand up • Stable angled design that works great for charging, videos, browsing, or everyday desk use • Updated design: Added recessed pockets in the base for 3M double-sided tape, so if you want the stand to stay planted on your desk instead of sliding around, that option is now built in as well
Is it basic? Absolutely. But this is me learning the ropes with Autodesk Fusion turning ideas into something functional has honestly been the fun part… even if it’s been frustrating at times.
If you end up printing it, using it, or modifying it, I’d genuinely love to see what you do with it :)
