Modelo 3D Hand / Drill Press por Haithem_cad no Thingiverse

Descrição

Hand / Drill Press

I built this as a modular attachment system for my Dremel hand press workstation. The idea is simple: a clamping socket sits on a support tube, and you just swap out 3D-printed inserts depending on what you want to hold — a soldering iron for heat-set inserts, a pen, a probe, whatever you need. One base, endless possibilities.

What makes it cool:

Designed around the Dremel hand press — turns it into a universal modular workstation

Fully modular — design your own inserts for any tool or gadget

Dual mounting holes on each insert so nothing rotates or shifts

Heat-set insert holes for bolting on extra accessories

Clean minimal setup, base glued directly to the workbench

A few things to know before printing:

PLA works fine for most parts, but use PETG if you're mounting a soldering iron.

Tolerances are tuned to my printer and filament, so you might need small adjustments.

I didn't print the base — I used wood. It's cheaper, stronger, and easy to replace. But if you want to print it, go for it and dial in your slicer settings for max strength.

The support tube I used is 31.75 mm (1¼") — not standardized, so adapt it to whatever tube size you can source. I personally used a home vacuum tube 😅

The handle was printed in one piece on a 220×220 mm printer bed diagonally, without splitting it into two parts.

For the dovetail joint, please test tolerances before printing the whole thing, especially if you use different materials.

fot the mount of the dremel the upper clamp is fixed by 3mm threaded rod , but the lower clamp alone is sufficient for most work

---print settings:

layer hight : anywhere from 0.1mm to 0.3mm will be fine : i used mostly 0.24mm

infill : depends on the geometery and the part . choose accordingly , betwen 15% and 30 % will be fine

wall loops : i reccomend 4 to 5 on places where clamping takes place

Print time for all parts is approximately 13 hours and total weight is about 450 g.

----Hardware you'll need:

heated inserts :

2x M3x4

3x M5x6

springs :

-two extrension springs -one compression spring =>I used them from a spring kit nothing too specified just use what feels right for the item you are ging to attatch , heavier tool equals stronger springs .

Bolts:

2× M3×1

2× M3×20

3× M5×20

4× M4×28

2× M6×40

Nuts:

4× M4

2× M6

2× M3

Linear rods (Diameter × Length):

1× 6 mm × 70 mm

1× 8 mm × 350 mm

1× 8 mm × 16 mm

2× 8 mm × 40 mm

1× 8 mm × 100 mm

Washers: Not specified — use accordingly.
