This is an extra-large 3D model of a bold red button, specially created for a software release party. The oversized design allows every team member to place their hand on it at the same time, symbolizing a collective “go live” moment.

The button is intentionally simple and completely non-electronic — no batteries, no wiring, no internal components. It’s purely mechanical, assembled with just four visible screws that secure the housing.

Inside, a set of integrated springs provides the satisfying tactile feedback when pressed, creating a smooth and responsive touch experience. The result is a clean, iconic centerpiece that captures the drama of a launch button while remaining straightforward and robust in its construction.

A dedicated plate holder on the front offers space for customizable text — such as the product name, release version, or launch date — making it perfect for memorable photos and adding a personalized touch to the celebration.

The button is about 15cm height and has a base of 13cm x 13.3cm.

Bill of material: 4 x M4 screws PETG for the springs.

Printing: Print the 4 springs in PETG and not in PLA for robustness and flexibily. Fits onto small printers. The box needs 13cmx13.3cm. No AMS needed. Multi-color-printing possible. Print the parts in different colors. Plate with text: Change the filament within the layers

Remixed: It is a remix and improvement from BIG push button by rerofumi from 2011. I made it bigger, put a round cap on it and a base plate below. The springs are improved too.
