Descrição
This is a kit to build your own floating wind platform ! They are designed to serve as platforms for the NREL 5MW model from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7057563
Here are guidelines to assemble different types of platforms : ###Semi submersible platform
- print four copies of "modular_float_buoy"
- print three copies of "pin 51mm"
- connect one buoy to the three others, at a 120° angle
- use the "pin 11mm" to connect the wind turbine
###Tension leg platform
- print one copy of "modular_float_buoy"
- print three copies of "pin 101mm" , three copies of "modular_float_mooring_head" and three copies of "modular_float_fairlead"
- print the sea floor from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7165848
- attach a string from each fairlead to each mooring head
- set the three mooring head on the three 101mm pins, at a 120° angle with one another
- attach the fairlead to the sea-bed
- fill water in your tank so that 4/5 of the buoy is submerged
- use the "pin 11mm" to connect the wind turbine
###SPAR type platform
- print two copies of "modular_float_buoy" , connect them on top of one another with the "pin 11mm"
- print one copy of "modular_float_buoy_heavy" , add some ballast to it so it weights approx 200g, you can seal the ballast hole with "half_cone_10mm". Use the the "pin_2mm" to connect it to the upper buoy
- use the "pin 11mm" to connect to the wind turbine tower
###Invent other platforms You can also invent any design of your liking, using ballast, legs and mooring lines. The piece "modular_float_hexa_buoy" can be used to extend your design capabilities by allowing 60° angles.
