Descrição
I had some 4in hobby board (which, as per tradition, are sold in 3.5in widths...) from another project, and I wanted to make a feeder for some of the medium-sized birds we have (not a bird expert, just trying to mitigate the loss of a sick tree we had removed). I will probably paint it forest-green.
There is to be a front panel that I'll hang with finishing nails or something.
How To Build
- The wood pieces insert into the tray and roof. I cut them to 165mm lengths, but any length should work. - An M4 threaded rod connects the whole assembly. - Use two nuts + 2 lockwashers + 1 regular washer at the very bottom - Use a nut + a lockwasher + a regular washer to fix the base firmly. - The hole at the top may be tight enough you'll have to thread though that as well. - One nut comes down from the top to tighten the whole structure down. - I will upload a threaded hoop-thing at some point. - I will probably glue at some point to be doubly-certain.First Review
So far I've only seen small birds using this feeder, which was contrary to my intention. I think I may add a pecking hole in the front (with a drill) to invite the larger birds to feed more directly.0
