Modelo 3D Useless Box - Hank - Simple por TAQL_Designs no Thingiverse

Descrição

I wanted to build a useless box but I wanted to make it simple with just a battery, switches and servo. I also tried to address as many buildability items as I could. You now only need to have 3d printing, painting, and novice soldering skills to have your Useless Hank.

Thanks to Blayder for the awesome model of Hank and the Treasure Chest: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4524815

I made several changes to allow for more variability in components.

  1. Revised servo holder
  2. Revised switch holder and switch
  3. Lid insert to open the lid when the arm moves forward
  4. Split the lid for easy printing
  5. Height extension for Hank to clear the switch
  6. New base to hold 2-AA batteries and the limit switch.
  7. Revised the box to fit the switch holder without modifications.

What you need: 1 - 9gram Servo - https://a.co/d/4z3corK 1 - limit switch - https://a.co/d/4z3corK 1 - toggle switch - https://a.co/d/2oD6jFg 1 - AA battery springs, 12x12 singles and 12x24 double. - https://a.co/d/ilyYdnj 2 - 3mm embedded nuts - https://a.co/d/7uYm0HJ

Instructions: Print all the parts. Use white or grey for the box and parts. Use red for Hank. Clean up and paint all the parts. Use 2 part epoxy to attach your toggle switch to the switch holder and then epoxy the switch level onto the toggle switch. Make sure not to get epoxy in the switch and leave some room for the switch to move. Dismantle the servo and clip the wires from the circuit board and de solder the wires from the motor. Solder the black and red wires to the motor terminals. Take the gear train out of the top side of the servo and clip the limit post from the bottom of the last wheel. Solder the wires onto the limit switch and install in the base plate. Build the circuit shown in the picture. Note that the notch on the switch denotes the top of the switch. Glue the servo horn onto Hank's arm. Install all components with 2-sided tape and test alignments and function. The servo holder may have to move to align with your limit switch and you may need to reverse the wires on the servo motor. Once the locations are all worked out, glue the servo holder, Hanks Base, and Hank onto the inner base. Use your soldering iron to set the nut inserts into the base and fix with 3mm flat head screws. Use 2 sided tape to attach the switch to the chest for future ease of removal to change batteries.

Enjoy your Useless Hank and spread as many smiles as you can.
