This is a simple lamp socket extender for E26 designed to raise the position of a lampshade when the bulb sits too high and is visible above the shade.

Many lamps use a “socket sleeve / screw cover” style part where the lampshade ring normally rests. When using taller bulbs (or certain LED shapes), the shade may not hide the bulb properly. This adapter fits onto the socket and extends the resting surface so the shade sits higher, helping cover more of the bulb for a cleaner look.

How it works Remove the lampshade. Slide/install the extender onto the socket (where the shade normally sits). Put the lampshade back in place. Tighten/secure as your lamp normally would.

Important Safety Notes (PLEASE READ) ⚠️ This part should only be used with LED bulbs. Do NOT use with incandescent or halogen bulbs — they can generate enough heat to soften plastic, deform the part, or create a fire hazard. ⚠️ Use only cool-running LED bulbs, ideally low-to-moderate wattage equivalents (example: 6W–10W typical LED). If the bulb or socket area becomes hot to the touch, do not use this adapter. ⚠️ This is a non-electrical mechanical accessory only — it must not interfere with wiring, electrical contacts, or strain relief parts. ✅ If you install it, always do a short test run and monitor for heat during the first use.

Print Recommendations For best results, print with the part oriented so the layer lines resist compression from the lampshade weight. Suggested materials: PETG (good balance, more heat-tolerant than PLA) ABS / ASA (better heat resistance, stronger, but needs good ventilation / enclosure) Polycarbonate (PC) or Nylon (excellent heat resistance, more advanced to print) PLA is not recommended, especially in enclosed lampshades or warmer rooms, because it can soften over time.
