This project is a raised soap dish insert designed to keep bar soap dry and extend its lifespan. The grid structure allows water to drain freely to the bottom of the soap dish, preventing the soap from sitting in collected water.

The model was designed in Fusion 360 and is shared as an open, modifiable project. Dimensions of the finished insert are 65 × 104 mm, but the design can be easily adapted to fit other soap dishes or personal preferences.

This model is ideal for home use, bathrooms, kitchens, or travel soap containers.

Recommended Filament

For contact with water, soap, and humidity, the following filaments are recommended:

PETG (Recommended)

• High resistance to moisture and detergents

• Good layer adhesion and durability

• Easy to print compared to advanced materials

• Does not soften in warm bathroom conditions

Alternative options:

• ASA – very good moisture resistance, but requires an enclosed printer

• ABS – acceptable, but less resistant to detergents and more prone to warping

• PLA – not recommended due to long-term degradation in humid environments
