Lid to use wide mouth container to trap bedbugs or other insects.

This lid fits jars with a 4.25 inch diameter mouth; this jar came from some mixed nuts that I bought at a local store.

Carbon dioxide is needed to trap the bugs, and there are many online recipes using dry yeast, sugar, and water.

EDIT: The surface of the jar may be too smooth for the bugs to climb on; some sort of texture may be needed. I used some spray adhesive.

This should also work well to trap houseflies if you have any frogs or spiders you'd like to supply with live food. You'll need a different bait.
