I looked everywhere for a realistic jetpack flame for my Mandalorian costume. I could not find anything I liked. I did find a great flame model made for a wall lamp made by DeltaPlus. So I went about modifying it to fit my jetpack funnel. • I stretched the flame to make it look more like a thruster flame • I added a short pipe leading to an inner cone shaped flame (from BatPenry) so it looked more dynamic and less single layered • I connected the 2 flame shells at the base with a thin disk open in the middle so that inner cone gets the most light from the source • I added an outer section shaped like a cone to fit snugly into the thrusted cone for gluing • I printed using transparent orange PLA filiment • I took apart a $10 flashlight that has good brightness to use as the light source I included some additional pics: • My finished jetpack lit up. • An early prototype lit by flashlight is not the right dimensions, demonstrating how the flashlight works and you can see the effect with the inner cone • Some early protypes and pieces printed separately • A pic showing the bottom opening into the inner cone
