This is a smaller, pocket-friendly version of my original bobber – perfect for slipping into compact tackle boxes.
I put a lot of thought into making this bobber as versatile as possible because I wanted one tool that could adapt to different fishing conditions. The internal design is split into separate chambers to give you more control. One compartment is specifically sized for a small LED light, which is great for late-evening sessions, but it also functions as an airtight chamber for extra buoyancy if you're using heavier bait. The other chamber is intended for small weights, allowing you to fine-tune how the bobber sits in the water or to give you that extra bit of casting distance when you need it.
The attachment system is probably the most practical feature. I never liked having to cut and re-tie my line just to add or remove a float, so I designed a through-slot that lets you slide the line into the center of the bobber instantly. Once the line is in place, you use one of the two end-screws I’ve included to secure it (see below). This "no-cut" approach saves a lot of time by the water and makes it easy to switch your setup on the fly.
I created two different versions of the end-screw. The first one is a locking screw; when you tighten it, it gently pinches the line against the body of the bobber, keeping your hook at a fixed depth. The second is a sliding screw, which has a small channel that allows the line to pass through freely. This is perfect for "slip-bobber" fishing, where you want your lure to sink down to the fish while the bobber stays on the surface.
- Please note: The LED I've used can be found and bought on most online shops like Temu, Ali and Wish. Search "Round LED", "LED Flashlights for Paper Lanterns", "Balloon LED" and so on.
