Descrição
Small shelf/riser for my bedside table. I designed as a riser for my CPAP to open up some surface space on my nightstand. This could easily be adapted for other uses.
Base is 9.5in (240mm) deep, 5.5in (~140mm) high. Shelf depth is 6.67in (~170mm). Shelf slats should be 20mm x 20mm with 1/8 inch round over on all 4 edges. The shelf in the image is 14 inches (355mm) wide, but you can make it as long or short as you want. I included a center bracket for longer spans, but printing it will require supports. I cut my slats from scrap Mahogany that I had in the shop and finished with dark antique wax, but any hardwood and any finish you prefer should be adequate. I don't recommend pine because longer slats will flex under weight and it's prone to dings and scratches.
You will need 1/2 inch wood screws for assembly, and I suggest 10mm rubber feet to reduce slipping.
I printed in PETG on a textured PEI plate, with fuzzy skin on for outside contours to create a nice textured look and feel.
The side hook prints in 2 pieces and is CA glued together with the assistance of 2 alignment pins. It easily snaps on and off the side rails and is designed to fit on either side of the shelf.
This is marked Work In Progress because I plan to add a charging cable holder that clips to the side and possibly a few other accessories as time allows.
