This is an automatic fish feeder for your aquarium. I had been using the one by jhitesma for a long while which I like, but I had problems with the food not feeding through the funnel and small opening, so I did this remix with a larger feed bin intended to help the clogging issue, and so far flake food appears to work well.
I think it's easiest to print the food bin upside down (as provided) to avoid any need for supports. I've provided an option with a window slot for easier quick viewing of food levels. I cut the plastic window from a clear 2 liter soda bottle, but you could use any flat clear plastic like from a food container.
The auger has a hole in it, which you can put a zip tie and let the long end hang loose. This will allow it to "flick" as the auger turns which may help stir the food in the bin and keep it from bridging and clogging. This is optional, and I don't know if it helps much, but it's there if you need it.
I used hot glue to attach the feeder bin to the feeder (since I don't trust press on fittings) and I also hot glued the feeder to my aquarium so it doesn't move, but of course do whatever works best for you. I just have it drop the food from a bit up onto the water so it doesn't stick to anything or get ruined by water and humidity from the tank.
This uses a 28BYJ-48 stepper motor, since they are super cheap and easy to use with ESP chips or Arduino, but of course could be easily adapted to any stepper motor or servo. I use a cheap ESP chip to control it via wifi, and have it connected to my Home assistant to run the feedings and then send me emails with photos from a tank webcam when the fish have been fed to help me keep an eye on things even when I'm not around at the time of feeding.
