Grew tired of taking up space on my table with the box of cat food, and did NOT want to train my boi to associate the closet door with food time - so, I designed a wall-mounted rack for his 7oz cans
A thin track leverages the differential diameters between rim & body to hold cans on the rack. Final section at the bottom tightens the track diameter for a snugger fit, and removed the track rim for can retrieval. Sections are designed to fit on a 250mm bed, & snap snugly together via dovetail joints. Hung with four keyhole slots on the back. Modular - can support more or less center units to accommodate a variable number of cans
There are still some design tweaks I'll eventually incorporate - consider this a minimum viable product: it works, but could be better. Future versions will be uploaded and marked accordingly
Units snap together with dovetail joints, which I've marked as A and B. You cannot connect an A-A or B-B, they must alternate B-A-B-A...B. The two additional elements, TOP and BOTTOM, are both A elements. So an acceptable configuration might be TOP-B-A-B-BOTTOM. You can include as many A & B elements as you with, to accommodate any number of cans, acknowledging that at least one B element is needed to join the TOP and BOTTOM pieces.
TOP and BOTTOM contain keyhole slots for wall mounting. Any screw should work, given that it is less than 7mm in diameter.
All parts are printed face-down. The keyholes are printed with bridging - make sure these settings are well-calibrated on your machine. I used ABS, 20% infill, and had no issue.
My 7oz have diameters of 61.4mm at the body, and 66.0mm at the rim. I have not tested this, but hypothetically, this design should work for cans of any size if you scale it according to your can dimensions, i.e. YOUR_BODY_DIAMETER_MM / 61.4. The only element that would become unusable will be the keyhole slots for wall mounting, though an enterprising individual may find a solution regardless
