Descrição
Cochlear's Osia 2 is an external sound processor that links to the OSI200 or OSI300 BAHA implant via an inductive coil. This model is intended to be used as a simulation for education or to help people familiarize themselves with the unit before delivery. The model can also be used as a costume accessory (printed at 3x size is the perfect size for a fursuit; ask me how I know).
NOTE that this model is not exact and cannot be used as a template for creating accessories, etc. It's just a rough model I made by measuring my own Osia 2 and eyeballing it side-by-side. It has been modified slightly to improve printability (see the photos).
There are four model variations:
- Rounded top, magnet slot on bottom
- Polyhedral top, magnet slot on bottom
- Rounded top, no magnet slot
- Polyhedral top, no magnet slot
The models with magnet slots are designed for a 10mm OD, 1.5mm thickness magnet (approx. 3/8" OD 1/16" thickness) and if you need something else the `.scad` file has magnet size parameters. Editing the `.scad` file depends on the BOSL2 library.
For the internal component (based on the OSI200 implant) see this model.
This model is neither authorized nor endorsed by Cochlear Limited. It is intended for nonclinical educational or cosmetic use only. Clinical educators should contact Cochlear Limited for a dummy simulation unit.
