Descrição
This custom-built drone is fully self-designed from the ground up, with every component – except for the electronics – developed in-house. From the frame to the mounts and structural parts, all pieces were modeled, optimized, and 3D-printed for maximum efficiency, durability, and weight savings.
The design focuses on modularity, crash resilience, and ease of maintenance. All structural parts are printed with high-strength materials like ABS or reinforced composites to withstand the stresses of high-speed flights and freestyle maneuvers. The frame layout is tailored for a clean hardware fit, supporting standard FPV setups and allowing easy access to the flight controller, ESC, and camera systems.
This project reflects a deep understanding of drone mechanics, aerodynamics, and 3D printing – resulting in a reliable platform for both racing and experimental builds.
Important: To ensure durability under load and during crashes, each arm must be reinforced with metal rods inserted during assembly. This greatly increases the structural stability and prevents deformation or failure at stress points.
A small cooling fan (standard mini case fan from Amazon) is mounted between the middle plate and bottom plate, positioned directly under the flight controller. This improves airflow and helps prevent overheating during aggressive flights or in high-temperature environments.
The ideal hardware configuration includes the SpeedyBee F405 V4 flight controller, TBS Crossfire Nano RX for reliable long-range control, and a TBS 5.8GHz video transmitter for stable FPV video.
For increased strength and precision, the arms can optionally be printed using a resin printer with an ABS-like resin. Print settings may vary depending on the specific printer and material used.
