Saw other minnow traps that utilized slicing settings to get the pattern and didn't want to do that. Modeled my own with a built-in hexagonal pattern for easy slicing.

I used a zip tie and piece of wire to keep it closed. Feel free to use whatever works to keep it shut. Wire, bread ties, string, etc.

Fill with bait, attach some rope, send it out, bring it back. Hope you get some use out of it!

Edit (06/08/2025): I found that minnows have a hard time finding the bait. I've added a third file that can be attached to File #1 to make it a two-sided minnow trap. Just fasten them together with bread ties, or any other type of malleable wire. If you can find a way to suspend your bait, that helps, too!

Edit (06/18/2025): I've remixed the Cage Giftbox by simondegrootpuntnl (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4793104) to act as a bread cage. Instead of printing the entire cage in place, I've rotated the cage, removed the internal supports, and removed a wall to act as a lid. You can easily rubber band the lid to the cage, then suspend it in the trap to keep the bread from sticking to the sides and letting those pesky Bluegill steal all of your minnow bait.

Edit (06/19/2025): Remixed the other half and made it symmetrical with the other half, if you want a longer minnow trap.

Edit (07/04/2025): Added a thin version of the model. They will only fit with each other's models.
