Not going to lie... pretty Proud of this. My wife and I like to travel, and we like to play/bring games with us. Problem is most game boxes are terrible in terms of space, so I built this. The main box has 4 main compartments, of 3 difference sizes, with 4 additional card bays of 2 difference sizes. It was designed to be modular so games can be swapped out depending on what we want to take with us. The card bays also have dividers and their own small box inserts.
Game modules are listed, if you have a game you would like to add please let me know! As an aside, all of the games in the picture above fit into the box.
Module Sizes There are 3 Different Module Sizes: A, B, C, however you will see that I don't actually have any modules designed for C. This is because C is actually indetended to fit B modules, with extra space for the travel Lid (see Travel Lid). As you can see A-Modules will also fit into B and C, B-Modules will fit also with into C, but B will not fit into A. A: 138x110.5 B: 138x117 C: 142.7x141.6
Card Bays 3 card bays are intended to fit standard size playing cards, with 1 bay for larger playing cards. Both standard and wide bays have dividers allowing you to organize your cards, or use a bay for more than 1 game (most only take up 1/2 a bay). The bays also have wide/narrow box inserts with lids, allowing you to put non-card type games, such as dice or Qwirkle. The Narrow box can fit in all 3 of the standard card bays.
Travel Lid The travel lid is designed to fit over B-sized modules, allowing you to just take that game with you rather than the whole box. The travel lid can also be put on a module upside down, which will then fit into the C-sized space, allowing you to store it there or take it with you while you travel, still having access to the rest of the box. Size A modules can also be used with the lid (excluding double sized ones) but they will not fit snugly.
Main Lid The lid fits over the whole box as well as board game inserts sitting on top (right now just ticket to ride). Modules are designed with travel in mind, so once the lid is on games should stay organized even if the box turned upside down. Because it is plastic is also makes is somewhat water resistant, but please don't throw your games in the lake. It won't go well.
