Cute little platform bird feeder! This is pigeon and dove-friendly if printed large enough (these birds can sometimes struggle with regular feeders, as their feet are flat and not made for grasping around a branch like other birds. I've made a flat corner on this feeder to allow for a flat platform for them to stand).

There are multiple ways to print this; I've included one file that is the full house feeder in one piece, as well as two separate files for the house base and house roof that can be connected after printing. This way, if you have a smaller bed, you can still keep the height of the feeder large enough for medium-sized birds to fit. The version that prints in two pieces has little notches to connect, but these are solely to keep the roof balanced in place- these are not sufficient to connect both pieces and you will need to glue them together.

Both versions will still require the actual feeder platform (that hold the seeds) be printed separately, as the platform is meant to be removable for easy filling and cleaning.

I did not use supports on this print, but if you're struggling with the roof, you may want to print with supports. I'd use at least 3 walls for strength. (Sorry my print looks rough- first time using wood PLA. Yeesh.) As seen in the 3rd pic, there is one triangle that is visible through a support wall, but unfortunately I can't fix it easily because Tinkercad didn't save my project and I had to re-upload as one piece that's not editable. So it is what it is now.

You can hang the feeder with chain/wire/twine/etc. looped through the top triangles. I used a wire through just the tallest two triangles, but you could use all 4 for improved stability and weight-bearing.

Please keep in mind that due to layer lines, it may not be possible to effectively sanitize prints. If you plan to use a coating, please ensure the product is bird-safe.
