It can be replaced but the original case will be damaged when you open it. The battery terminals are spot welded to the battery and need to be torn off the battery.

This case snaps together and does not come apart. You will need to destroy this case whenever you change the battery. This is by design to ensure the case is strong and will not fall apart. This case allows the button on the tile to still work when you press in the center. The case is almost the same size at the original but is 1mm thicker.

When you open the old tile, pull out the board, rip the battery terminals off the battery but make sure they don't come off the circuit board. Carefully peel the speaker off the old tile.

On the new printed case, stick the speaker on the speaker mount. Push the circuit board into the other case. There are two fragile prongs which hold the board in place. The case should still work even if the prongs break off or didn't print correctly. The boar is a tight fit to stop it moving in the case. Install the new CR2032 battery between the battery terminals. It does not need to be soldered in place. The case should squeeze the terminals onto the battery. Squeeze the two half cases together. It takes quite a bit of force to lock them into place. You will know when you have it right because the top and the base will overlap on the sides. There should be no visible join between the lid and base when looking at the side of the tile replacement case.

I printed this in PLA but PETG or ABS would be better.
