A Cray 2 at 1:10 scale. An iconic supercomputer, first released in 1985. The Cray 2 went in a different direction than the Cray 1/XMP/YMP lines, both with the CPU architecture and physical design. Unusually compact for the time (45" tall and 53" wide), the processors and memory cards were stacked and immersed in a liquid coolant. While featured in a few movies, only about 30 were sold, and few people were able to see one in person.
A common nickname for Cray-2s was "bubbles", since the liquid coolant was aerated.
In NASA blue, to complement my YMPi model; print at 50% scale to match the 1:20 scale of the YMPi. Also see the customizable raised computer floor to complete your data center.
No waterfall coolant tank just yet.
Several variants of the model are available for your printing pleasure.
** Note**: The flooded tank version is still being tweaked. You may be best off waiting on this for a later update.
