Descrição
In trying to get better with opensCAD and precise designing, I made a hollowed out sphere. Not functional, just for design, though I have uploaded the openSCAD file so it can be modified. Might be cool to leave the top bit open and hang a light through. To be continued...
Instruções
_While not tough to make, this model requires 16 pieces being glued together. For the most part, the pieces should fit together snuggly and only a little glue needs to be applied.
_Print each "Ring" once and the "Single Support" three times. Shrink sizes according to your preference / print bed. I went with 50 percent on every piece.
_For the rings, you may have to shrink the z-axis a a little more depending on how accurate your printer is.
_Keep track of which ring is which. When assembling, the first ring is the very bottom one and the top one is number thirteen.
_To assemble, line up the FLATTER END of the "Single Supports" so that their 120 degree edges touch each other tightly. Glue them together, BUT leave the other end of the the supports alone for now. This flatter end will ultimately be the bottom of the model (and where "Ring 1" goes.
_Now, with the top open (and able to squeeze) start putting rings into the slots (starting with the smallest first). Build upwards and glue the top "Single Supports" when finished.
