Descrição
Used in the Walnut Street Theatre's 2022 production of Noël Coward's "Blithe Spirit" - this vase is made to be re-breakable in show conditions. There are holes embedded in all the pieces to allow for inset rare earth magnets.
The magnets used are 1/8 x 1/8 Inch Neodymium Rare Earth Cylinder. You can use a 1/8 drill bit to clean out each hole after its printed. You don't need a drill, just twist it in your fingers. The broken pieces fell on to an anti-fatigue mat disguised as the floor in our production. This prolonged the life of this prop significantly. The show ran for a month and these held up perfectly. The final vase is about 12" tall. If you choose to shrink it down, keep in mind the magnet holes will also shrink. I printed each piece individually on a Creality cr 10s. Each piece takes a few hours to print, so reserve a few days to print a part a day. (The smallest "Chip" prints quickly compared to the other parts.) You can make the print stronger by increasing the infill percentage, but this will also lengthen printing time considerably. I printed at 15% and it was fine. It was originally painted in blue and white, classic Chinese ceramics, but I'd love to see your creation! A busy pattern hides the seams well.
