Notes: I've finally updated for the expansion, but for simplicity's sake, I made it it's own entry here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7288373
This is an insert for SETI, which uses the Tech Tile holder from W1mL33na3rts remix of Stoniac's design, which can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6814458
Instructions -
Whether or not you sleeve, print the following:
- AlienA_lid
- AlienC_lid
- AlienE_lid
- AlienM_lid
- AlienO_lid
- PlayerBox (x4)
- PlayerLid (x4)
- Resources (x2)
- SoloLid
- SunBox
- SoloTilesLeft
- SoloTilesRight -- (If you have a large print bed, feel free to use SoloTilesFull instead of Left and Right versions)
- SpaceLayerLeft
- SpaceLayerRight -- (If you have a REALLY large print bed, feel free to print SpaceLayerFull instead of Left and Right versions) -- (If you have an even SMALLER print bed, print SpaceLayer1of4, SpaceLayer2of4, etc, instead of the other Space Layers versions)
If you DON'T sleeve, add these prints:
- AlienBox (x6)
- CardStack
If you DO sleeve, I recommend trying CardStack as your first file to see if your sleeves fit with the extra room provided. If they don't, you have three options.
- Print CardStackCompressed_Sleeved (x2) and see if the sleeves can be compressed and fit in those boxes, putting them where the normal CardStack goes.
- Print ExtraCardStack_Sleeved, and print AlienBoxShort_Sleeved (x6) instead of the normal AlienBox. You can fit 3 alien boxes/solo box per stack instead of the normal 2, which will give you room for the extra card stack box.
- Print AlienBox_NoCutOut or AlienBoxShort_NoCutOut if you want to have alien boxes without any cutouts in the box. You'll have to dump over to box to get everything out, but maybe the extra room will help you fit the cards better.
I have not tried this sleeved, so please let me know if there are any issues, and my apologies to any wasted plastic of those who test this out.
NOTES:
- All of the lids need support on the build plate.
- When you remove the support, you may also have to gently wiggle the small knobs on the underside of the lid, to ensure it didn't get stuck to the upper layer during printing.
- When putting on the lids to the boxes, do it by pushing the knobs against the inside top or bottom of the box, then pushing the lid down closed. It should snap into place.
Let me know how your printing goes, and if you have any questions.
