Halloween or Chrsitmas decorations. i wouldnt normally share this project as its an amalgamation of information that is already out there, however i have also created 8 custom eye designs that seem to be not available for these 240 x 240 screens.
Snow, christmassy themed eyes with holly and snowflake contact lenses Spiral, freaky red and yellow spiral eyes Demon, Lava like eyes Red Flame, fire like eyes Blue Flame, deep blue fire like eyes Snake, eyes with snake scales Anime, purple cartoon like eyes Dragon, Default, hazel human like eyes
Laser cut from either acrylic or plywood and then 3d printed eye holders and esp32 enclosure.
parts required esp32 wroom 32 2x round 1.28" TFT GC9A01 display modules i used some neopixels for the christmas lights on the elf and the christmas tree dupont jumper wires

The eyes are inspired by Adafruit’s uncanny eyes. The code was adopted is an adaption of the TFT_eSPI example.
It contains 240px eyes instead of 128px to run on two round 1.28" TFT GC9A01 display modules with 240x240 resolution.
software prerequisits
hardware required
- 1x ESP32 (e.g. Expressif ESP32-WROOM-32D) (example)
- 2x 1.28" TFT LCD Display Module Round RGB 240*240, GC9A01 driver (example)
you will also need
- jumper wires to connect everything, optionally a breadboard to test
- cables, female wire connector and crimping tool (to create Y-cables)
- a rotary tool, ideally with flex shaft, to open the skull and make space for the displays
- a power supply and USB cable
