Modelo 3D H3-22S Rocket (1:200 Scale) por CarlThePumpkinMan no Thingiverse

Descrição

Note Since Thingiverse has no option to separate bodies into folders, I've uploaded the bodies for the Single Extruder only and included the 3mf files for all the other print profiles in order to avoid there being a giant incoherent mess of stl files that aren't meant to be printed with one another. If you would like to download the steps of other ones directly, I suggest you do so from the following links: MakerWorld: https://makerworld.com/en/models/693269-modular-h3-rocket-1-200-scale Printables: https://www.printables.com/model/1035100-modular-h3-rocket-1200-scale Thanks for your understanding!

Intro After a certain event (here’s a collection of vids that shows me making the original ones, btw) caused me to look back on these models, I decided they could use a revisit, revamp, and redo, since the old version was… fine, but not as good as I would like. So, I revisited the models, made them easier to assemble, and split them up accordingly to make the modular version you see here. I’ve also created a single-extruder-printer-friendly version, an AMS version, and one with super-fine settings specifically created for the Bambu Lab H2D, my personal printer.

The H3 Rocket itself is actually modular; certain parts can be swapped out depending on what the mission demands. This model is the same, and depending on what kind of rocket you want to make, you can create one with any combination of 2 or 3 main engines; 0, 2, or 4 boosters; and a long or short nose cone. The base can also be modified to reflect the version of the rocket you make by swapping out the numbers and letters found in the name of the craft itself. Some examples of H3 rockets are pictured directly below, along with their model codes.

All H3 rockets begin with an “H3-”, with the following two numerals and final letter dictating information about the rocket. The first letter determines the amount of main engines, and consequently the number of grey nozzles found attached to the main body–either 2 or 3. The second numeral reflects the number of white boosters around the main body–either 0, 2, or 4. The final letter reflects the length of the nose cone–either L (long) or S (short).
The type of model rocket you want to print will dictate which parts you need to print, so check the instructions via the video below or later on in the model description.

Jade White - Bottom sans the nozzles, Nose Cone, Flag, Boosters sans nozzles, caps of Pipes 2, 7 Silver - Nozzles only part of the Bottom, pipes 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 Yellow/Orange - parts of the Body (Yellow to mimic the look depicted in promotional art, orange to depict the actual rockets Matte Grass Green - other parts of the Body, Pipes 2, 7 Matte Scarlet Red - Booster Nozzles, Center of flag Black - Letters on the Body, decorations on the Nose Cone Printed Parts: Special Print Instructions: None; just apply brims and supports where appropriate

Nose Cone Nose Cone Decorations; 4 if long and 2 if short (only necessary for Single Extruder prints) Body Text and Flag Pieces (only necessary for Single Extruder prints) Bottom (2 or 3 nozzles depending on what you want for your rocket) Boosters/nozzles (Print 0, 2, or 4 depending on how many you want) Booster Panels (the number of these + Boosters you print should add up to 4) 7 Pipes, numbered 1-7. 2 and 7 have caps that are printed separately, and the rest of them consist of two bodies–a pipe and a bracket. You can print the bracket a separate color if you want, but they’re so small that I don’t think it’s worth it. These probably need brim ears on the ends of them to make sure they don’t pop off the plate Stand Stand letters/numbers (Print the -3 if you have 3 nozzles on the bottom, or the -2 if 2; print 0, 2, or 4 to match the number of boosters, and L for a long nose cone/S for a small one) Non-Printed Parts: glue

Assembly Intro: I highly recommend you check out the video if you can As I mentioned before, this model is modular, and therefore you need to figure out exactly which parts you want to print as well as which 3mf to print them from. You can check the specifics out in the Files section above, but essentially you need to figure out whether you want to print a fancy, 0.2 nozzle high quality version, a normal 0.4 multicolor version, or a single color 0.4 version that you have to do more assembly with. As far as the modularity goes, you have to make certain decisions on which parts you want to print: If you want 3 nozzles on the Bottom, print the 3EngineBottom, its 3 nozzles, and the little -3 for the Stand. If you want 2 nozzles on the Bottom, print the 3EngineBottom, its 2 nozzles, and the little -2 for the Stand. If you want 4 Boosters, print 4 Boosters and their Nozzles, 0 Booster Panels, and the little 4 for the Stand. If you want 2 Boosters, print 2 Boosters and their Nozzles, 2 Booster Panels, and the little 2 for the Stand. If you want 0Boosters, print 0 Boosters, 4 Booster Panels, and the little 0 for the Stand. If you want a Long Nose Cone, print the Long Nose Cone (and its decorations for the Single Extruder Print), as well as the little L for the Stand. If you want a Short Nose Cone, print the Short Nose Cone (and its decorations for the Single Extruder Print), as well as the little S for the Stand.

Instructions:

After you’ve selected which 3mf you want to print, print everything out with the exception of the Bottom/Nozzles, Nose Cone, Booster/BoosterPanels, and extra Stand numbers/letters that don’t correspond with the version of the H3 Rocket that you don’t want to make. If you’re printing the single extruder version, continue on; if you’re printing any multicolor version, skip to step 5. Remove all supports from the Body. Make absolutely sure you get all of it; the next steps will be very frustrating if you don’t. Put the Red center of the map into the white map, then put that and the J-A-P-A-N into their corresponding spots in the Body. Glue the decorations into the Nose Cone. There will be 4 for the Long one and 2 for the Short one. Glue the Nose Cone on top of the Body. Glue the Bottom on the bottom of the Body, and the corresponding 2 or three nozzles into it. Grab all 7 Pipes and the caps for Pipes 2 and 7. The pipes are numbered counting to the right if you look at the front lettering; the closest one to the lettering is number 1. The caps can be glued in at the top of 2, and 7, the longest ones. The actual Pipe portion can be glued in below, like the model pictures show. Pipes 2/7 and 1/4 are the exact same shape. On each other Pipe, there should be a little nub on one side near the edge. This should stick out on 3 of the 4 sides of the Pipe–the one side that doesn’t have the nub sticking out is the one that goes inward towards the Body. Make your way around the Body, and insert the remaining pipes into the Body. These are really loose for the 0.4 nozzle versions, so you will probably need some glue. Make sure you’ve removed any and all brim material that might be stuck to the edges. Glue any and all red nozzles onto the slots on the bottom of any and all boosters you printed out. The number of Boosters and Booster Panels you have should add up exactly to 4. Glue the Boosters and Booster Panels into the square indents around the Body found just below the letter N. If you have two of each, make sure the Boosters are the ones in the left and right spots as you see it looking onward at the JAPAN front, like the rightmost rocket in the thumbnail. Glue the remaining letters into the Stand. The leftmost number should have a dash (-) and indicate the number of nozzles on the Bottom of the rocket. The next number doesn’t have a dash and should indicate the number of Boosters the rocket has. The final Letter should be an “L” if the Nose Cone is long, or and “S” if it’s short. Finally, glue the base into the bottom of the rocket. The lettering on the Body should be facing the center of the Lettering on the Stand, and there’s a little bump on the rod in the center of the stand to help you line it up. And that’s it! Enjoy your model H3 Rocket.

Conclusion: That’s it, folks! I hope this was to your liking, and if you have any questions, let me know! This was a fun project to revisit, especially since I had some constructive criticism given to me that I had yet to implement. Of course, if you like what I’ve made, feel free to like, comment, download, sub to me on YT, and all that good stuff! Every bit helps. See you next time!
