My wife needed a new shoe rack - challenge accepted :)

Since I couldn't find a printable shoe rack which was flexible and easy enough to print for my needs, I designed a modular shoe rack, consisting out of:

• Base unit dimensions: 240 mm x 220 mm x 173 mm, material needed: 265 gram, printing time: 11:25 (Bambu PLA). The module is large enough that most footwear (except boots) fit well. The module can be scaled higher if desired. There is also some space on the sides for a brim.
• Extension unit dimensions: 220 mm x 220 mm x 173 mm, material needed: 195 gram, printing time: 8:46 (Bambu PLA). Size is aligned in such a way that the gap between the pillars is the same as for the base module. The extension unit connects together with the base unit using dovetails. No additional prints/materials are needed.

The model has the following characteristics:

• The base and extension models connect together with dovetails. Margins are sufficient to easily click the extension unit in, while it doesn't snap out quickly. Extension units can be added infinitely, so the shoe rack can be any length.
• The base models can be stacked on top of each other, in principle infinitely. After 4/5 layers, the shoe rack becomes a bit less table and is recommended to mount it to a wall or another sturdy object.
• The extension models can also be stacked on top of each other, but for each layer, the extension needs to be connected to the base. Space between the pillars is sufficient for most normal shoes - boots may be tricky (at least in one spot). I based the height on the height of commercially available shoeracks.
• It is recommended to use a brim (outer brim only, 5 mm is enough). Without a brim, it is possible that warping will occur in the corners. With a brim, I have not seen any warping with Bambu PLA (matte + basic). In Orca slicer, it is also possible to use mouse ears, which also seems to suffice to prevent warping.
