WIP! I kinda forgot this haha, but if someone wants to tinker some here is the project:

I needed shifter paddles for racing and my design got a little out of hand so I made this simplistic Bluetooth button plate, with:

• "Conspicuous19" -style magnetic shifters with bushing fittings. Feel is close to the Ascher racing paddles (very nice)
• One button
• One LED (for connection status etc.)
• One Alps RKJXT1F42001 "Funky Switch". 7-way switch (up/down/left/right/push) with rotary encoder (+/- button press or increment/decrease value). The code uses interrupts so fast scrolling possible.

Parts used:

• 1pcs, Seeed XIAO nrf52

• 4-8pcs. 10x3mm magnets

• 1pcs. 3mm LED

• 2pcs. OMRON SS-5GL micro-switch. I had these lying around, I pulled the tab out with pliers.

• 10pcs. 10mm sleeve bearings (or bushing/washer/standoff). ID around 5mm, for M5 bolts, OD around 10mm

• 8 pcs. M5 nuts&bolts for shifters and wheel.

• Slim 1s LiPo battery. I used 1000mAh, my prototype had 350mAh and even that lasts ages.

• "SP3T" 19mm on/off switch

• Some wire and small fasteners (thread inserts are also nice). A cheap pack of M2-M4 screws from Aliexpress will do the job.

• "Simple Funky switch mount". For this look at my other models.

• There's also space for 12x8.5mm Piezo buzzer if you want to add that. I used one on my first prototype, better than LED if driving with VR-glasses

The model is designed for OMP Trecento wheel, but it will probably fit others as well. Easy to modify as the baseplate is very simple. QR-side is very compact, made to fit Simucube QR but not others! I guess the code is the more important bit here.

*You need to leave the wheel on for charging (or add separate charging circuit). Wheel will go to sleep after set time (30minutes in this case), so no worries leaving it on :)

**Bluetooth antenna in the XIAO nrf52 board is quite small, so the range is not great. With newer laptops I have gotten +10meters of reliable range, but some PC motherboards with integrated bluetooth might only give 1m unrealiable range!
