I recently got a Prusa XL 5 toolheads and was thinking of a simple way to test it out using all 5 extruders. I decided to make a few bookmark patterns with the same dimensions as the ones from Mitercraft.
This set contains 5 patterns:
- Bloxel
- Blocky flower pattern
- 5 colors
- Crystal Rug
- The design has sharp diagonals and embedded squares that remind me of rug patterns.
- 5 colors
- Qb
- Tesselated cubes, similar to a Q*Bert level pyramid
- 4 colors
- Tech Hive
- Hexagons, because... hexagons
- 5 colors
- Weave
- A weave pattern with holes.
- 3 colors
Printed with normal PLA, transparent PLA, and Silk PLA.
Each bookmark is 1 mm thick. The top side will be rougher than the bed side and can be sanded with medium-high grit sandpaper. After printing, add a bookmark tassel using the hole at the end of the bookmarks.
To add interesting anisotropic highlight patterns, use a high infill with silk filament. If you do this, don't sand the top side, as the rougher texture is part of what gives the highlight its effect.
