These are 3D printable Models taken from the heavily researched and located and found 3D models from Babylon 5 the TV show dating back all the way to 1993 or so I would believe. I came across a website (honestly don't remember the name) where, the Computer generated files were all found from being leaked by the stopped at launch video game rescued, stored and in a library. These models had to be downloaded, unzipped and converted into STL files in order to transition to what your seeing. I am stunned with the level of accuracy. I DO NOT pretend to have any copywrite over them, I did modify them 25%, per Engineering Standard Law and removed the jump point from inside the model so that no law suit couldn't be filed. I am uploading them here with no monetary connection for you all to enjoy as I have.
I'm also uploading the best Jump Point I have created myself. Its hollow, fast and easy to print. Best results are with transparent blue to clear or orange to clear PETG. I will be putting sequential flashing micro LED's in mine to simulate the electrical wave surging through the model to make the ultimate ship display stand. Custom best settings, 0 infill of any kind, zero it all out, and speeds, max as fast as you are comfortable per your machine. Perimeters 1 for transparency. Shell, 1 as well, try and get it to print just the 2 lines at the first layer for best results for the light transmission through the twirling transparent body.
For best results, I recommend the Gun Metal Silver PETG for the long split sections, and a beautiful transparent Blue for the panels. No Paint required. They Glue together perfectly with a nice thin super glue of your choice. Enjoy!
Heck, Reverse Engineering is fun, and a craft of its own, might as well share the end product, and legally :) This makes all the Ship Models pure Movie Magic. Go slow, and .1mm or .05mm layer height for maximum quality. The jump point is sized to act as a stand for your favorite ship passing through. I even printed a fleet of ships hidden in Hyperspace and jumping through a Jump Gate. An early picture of that is my profile background picture. HAVE FUN!
