Modified the case for the MX2 to fit the MX3 perfectly, and now sits at the bottom very securely. Adding a bit of foam to the lid will fix the mouse securely in place.

I used 2mm copper wire through the hinges with M2 bolts glued to the ends. Could have done this without the bolts, but if it ever needs replacement, this hopefully gives me something to grab onto.
