My wife wanted a kumihimo disk as described here. I used openscad to create a customizable disk.

Customizer Settings

This thing is ridiculously configurable. If you're not using one of the given stls, I suggest downloading the scad file and manipulating it in openscad instead of using the customizer... mostly because of the long render times with the lettering if there are lots of slots.
