Being the clumsy sod I am I got tired of my coffee mug getting bumped and dripping coffee on my desk. My solution was a coaster with a raised edge (which, as you can see from the photo, works).

Okay, I know it's not exactly a high-tech groundbreaking invention but at least I have a dry desk now!
