I modified an old Logitech STX webcam to be a webcam magnefier/microscope and needed a stand to keep a stable picture. This covers parts needed to make the stand. For more information to convert the webcam see:

My webcam had a 14mm dia plastic shroud that the lens threaded into which I used to mount the camera in the arm. I sanded the opening in the arm with sandpaper so that it was a snug interference fit. NOTE: I had the fit tight and the lens did not thread it!

The rest of the parts are leftovers from previous projects or stuff I had around.

(2)Guide Rails = 8mm linear motion (length as required, mine are 4")
(1)Threaded Rod = M8x1.25 (about an inch longer than rails)
(1) M8x1.25 nut
CA/Super glue may be needed for loose fitting parts.

I included the DWG file because my printer was printing the holes about .4mm small so the holes may need small tweaks to be prefect. A 8mm drill and slightly larger may be handy to ream holes if needed.

I printed mine from PLA at .2mm LH and 25% infill. Printed awesome, the whole thing works great for manually populating small SMD components for reflow.

I will add a LED light ring when I get a second to design it.
