Put your own image on the face of this checker and your name or message underneath.

The original is cool and mostly intact in my version, but I made so many changes that I thought I should share.

I changed the sphere to a cylinder because they were too high to stack the checkers, and I flattened out the bottom to make printing easier and accommodate the inset lettering.

You need both .scad and the letters.dxf files for this to work. You also need the cat.dxf to use my example setup. And of course you need the latest OpenSCAD.

There's a lot that goes into putting a logo on top. Check out http://hackaday.com/2010/01/12/how-to-make-a-printable-ces-badge/ for an example on how the image portion works. Just put a closed line drawing centered on the origin and note the layer name. If you can't get it on the origin, just use the offset parameters to get it where you want it. Keep the drawing simple because OpenSCAD chokes on the detail.
