From scratch created pet feeder (for my cat actually). It started as regular Arduino project, at the final become pretty complicated device:

No manual configuration (with display and buttons). It uses load sensor which measure food weight, and fill the bowl on configured time period (in config file)
Sound signal when container is empty or food path is clogged
Button sequence tare calibration (can use any bowl which fit in bowl plate
Integrated with HomeAssistant (optional) - remote feeding, feeder liveness probe
Grafana dashboard and HomeAssistant Lovelace card available
