This is an entry for the Develop3D / MakerBot "Make a 'Bot" competition.

PanicBot is a labour saving device, ideal for home or office use. When things get out of hand, don't waste energy frantically waving your own arms around - simply turn the dial and let PanicBot do it for you!

I'm not sure what's going on with the orientation of the STL files here. They looked fine in SolidWorks; I'm not sure how to fix them here.

I don't have a 3D printer, so there's a bit of guesswork in this design. I may have been a bit optimistic with wall thicknesses and the type of fits that can be achived. It will hopefully snap together securely, but it might need a bit of glue to make sure it's stable.

The robot parts are designed to fit onto a single build platform on MakerBot's Replicator 2. There may be a better way to arrange them. I've done my best to ensure they can be built with minimal support, but as I say I'm new to all this, so apologies if I've missed something.

If I can attach an animation of a suggestion for the correct order for assembling the parts, I'll do that. Hopefully it'll be self-explanatory, but let me know if you hit any problems.

I'd be really interested to hear from anybody who makes one of these.
