Last night i went to bed thinking in two things: Drones, and why my Squats dont have them.

Even more, why my Squats dont have their own version of those drones that Tau Pathfinders use? And why no incorporate those drones to my Squat Kill Team with their own adapted game rules? So, here is the result of those deliberations, a new specialist unit for your/mine squat force! the Squat Drone Operator!... and Drones to operate, off course.

Now, some lore/design/rules ideas (mostly theoretical, I've never played with or against Pathfinders):

• The Drone Operator and the Drones count as one Operative. You can only have two drones in the game, but not of the same type.

• These drones are not supposed to be the high-tech semi-sentient robots that Tau uses. No sir, that is heresy. These drones are the old school type, just a bunch of propellers, a tool attached to them to do a very specific task, and a simple cogitator that give them limited autonomy. They use the Pathfinder´s "Artificial Inteligence" rule, but no "Saviour Protocols".

• In game terms, drones perform actions in the same way as Tau Drones, as individual operatives, but, since they are not as sophisticated, the Drone Operator constantly need to monitoring and reprograming the drones during battle, therefore, if he dies, all drones render useless and considered destroyed. Replace destroyed drones costs 1 Requisition Point each one.

• The Squat Drone Operator have Karskin stats, abilities and equipment (remember, my squat killteam are Kasrkin proxies) but also use the same abilities and unique actions that the Tau Drone Controller Pathfinder, "Drone Scout" and "Control Drone". His "weapons" are mostly the drones, so he can only carry a Hot-Shot laspistol as default gun. Aditionally, he can be equiped with a Drone Repair Kit to use the "Repair Drone" ability.

• Currently theres only 3 types of drones: Lasgun Drone, wich, in terms of stats, is basically a floating Hot-shot Lasgun, no special rules; Marker Drone, wich use the ability "High-intesity Markerlight", no weapons; and a Grenade Launcher Drone, wich can be equiped with all Kasrkin´s grenades (Krak, Frag, Decoy, Stun), and Pathfinder´s EMP and Photon grenades. This drone carry up to 3 grenades, fired individualy, and all must be of the same type.

• I have not added recon, shield, grav-inhibitor and pulse accelerator drones because i think theyre too op. Maybe ill reconsider this in the future, i dont know :P
