Descrição
This is the first version of the clock. The controls are under construction, but the clock works mechanically.
All elements except "Gear 2" can be printed without supports.
Two versions of the "hours plate": onepiece or with separate numbers.
Prototyp: https://youtu.be/F5aKY6GDFhE
BOM: Bearings (red): 4x 608Z Motor (green): 28BYJ-48 + ULN2003A
Controller BOM: U1: ATMEGA8A IC1: ULN2003A + 28BYJ-48 Y1: Crystal oscillator 32768kHz R1: 10K C1: 100nF C2,C3: 12-22pF SW1: Switch - Fast Forward SW2: Switch - Slow Forward SW3: Switch - Slow Backward
Control section: Unfortunately, I don't know the "Arduino IDE" very well, so I use "Microchip Studio". This is probably not the best clock control, but it is known to me and tested in my other clocks. The general idea is that the motor make a full revolution in one hour.
Setting the clock: SW1 runs fast forward to set the time (hours). SW2 runs slow forward operation that allows to set the minutes precisely. SW3 runs slow reverse operation to correct the precise setting of the minutes.
Note: The settings are not yet calibrated for accurate clock work.
Update 1: the numbers on "hours plate" should increase counterclockwise Update 2: New photos and video of the prototype in action Update 3: Clock controller Update 3.5: fixed "main.c" file Update 4: Added an alternative version of the Hours plate, now with numbers Update coming soon.
