The inspiration for this project was the lack of organization I have in my closet and garage. So I designed a way to customize a hook system that can be scaled small enough for sets of car and house keys to large enough for brooms and rakes, etc. And since you can never have too many hooks, additional units can be printed and snapped together before screwing them to the wall.

Not only is this the first design I've ever done in OpenSCAD, it is the first design I've ever done for a 3D printer. And since I don't have a 3D printer of my own, I'd appreciate feedback from anyone who prints this design for themselves. I'm already working on version 2! :)

After setting up your build plate, select the type of component that will be printed. A "Start" does not have a connecting pin at the beginning of the part, just as an "End" doesn't have one at the end. A "Middle" part has a connecting pin at both ends, and a "Solo" part doesn't have one at either end, as it is intended to function independantly. From there, select the height of the hook system (in millimeters - the length and thickness will be determined automatically), the number of hooks you'd like print in one piece, and finish by selecting the type of "hook" for each number of hooks selected. If you'd like to leave a gap between hooks for bulky items, select "Blank" for the hook type.
