This design is something that I have wanted to make for a while. It seems that most socket holders I have used are not strong enough and often times do not have the correct spacing for larger sized sockets. The solution: make a strong, modular socket holder that allows easy organization of ANY SIZE socket no matter if it is Metric, SAE, 1/4" Drive, 3/8" Drive, or 1/2" Drive.

The beauty of the staggered size setup is that it works for shallow and deep sockets and aids in finding the correct drive size without having to look at the back of the socket. If you are like me, you have multiple sockets all the same size and like to store them together. Most socket holders have size labels which I hate because they never work out correctly and there are always stray sockets that get left by the wayside.

If you have large sockets, you can simply remove one of the inserts (as shown) to make room. If you want to link multiple holders together, you can do that with the built in notch / groove combination.
