Description
My own custom-made midi controller that can be redesigned easily
Instructions
A custom modular midi-box. The lid stacks (think: lego) into the bottom-part of the main module in a way so the faceplate tilts slightly towards the user. It's sturdy, modular and can be stowed away easily since it's a box. The Faceplate is a simple laser-cut, so you can easily change the innards and make a new custom arrangement of your parts. After filing of some of the edges it stacks quite nicely.
The idea is based on the awesome!!! instructible by fuzzywobble and uses an arduino-clone (teensy) to generate the midi-messages for your computer: http://www.instructables.com/id/A-Framework-For-Making-Affordable-Stylish-Modula/
This thing was made by CNC'ing MDF... A really stupid idea unless you feel the sudden urge to reverse the MDF-creation process and are in desperate need of a dust-machine (asthma included).
