Descrição
This is a medium sized chess board but still printable with the Ender3 S1 and similar printers.
For the board you need 4 baseplates, 64 squares and 4 sides.
The clearances on the parts are pretty small so I highly suggest you get your printer dialed in and watch out for elephants foot and bulging corners.
Baseplate: You need 4 of those, they can be put together like a jigsaw. You can glue them together or leave them clickable. Print out 2 of the baseplate_test first to see if they fit. Filament I used was eSun PLA+ black with a 0.6mm nozzle.
Squares: Obviously you need 64. 32 of each color. I printed them upside down on a glass bed. I used Geeetech silk in black and white with a 0.4mm nozzle.
Sides: You need 4 sides. You can choose between sides with the markings A-H and 1-8 (print side1 - side4) and sides without (print side with no marks 4 times). I added a pause in the last layer before the markings start and manually changed the filament to the silk white. The sides themselves are printed with formfutura easywood with a 0.6mm nozzle.
The chess board with sides is 27cmx27cm, one square is 3cmx3cm so its smaller than a FIDE chess board but not as small as a travel board. You can scale down FIDE chess pieces to 60% and they will fit perfectly.
