The Titan Talon is based on the foam Mini Talon that we all know and love, but with all the upgrades we wish it had. Designed from scratch with efficiency, performance and ease of build in mind - the Titan Talon can hold large batteries that are easily accessible via the huge hinged hatch, and boasts an efficiency of 62mah/km (on 4S) which is 25% more efficient than most foam Mini Talon builds (such as my own, which I did 100km out and back with). The plastic weight of this model including spars is only 754g. The wingspan is 1400mm, slightly larger than the original. The wings are also removable and held on with 4 m3 bolts.
Print using prefoamed LWPLA (this one) with 3% cubic subdivision infill and single wall. Please print the motor mount and electronics mount in Polycarbonate or another high temp material.
You will need the following parts: (2) 8x500mm carbon tubes (main wing spars) (4) 3x400mm carbon tubes (aileron hinges) (4) 2x200mm carbon tubes (must be cut shorter for the vtail) A bunch of m3 threaded inserts <= 6mm in height
Recommend using Emax Es08maii servos. Enjoy!
