An animated radar unit for a model fishing boat (1/24 scale), this was made to animate a feature of the boat. The tower and unit base are designed around a small brass tube that push fits the radar head and is a loose fit through the tower. Connect the tube to a small electric motor, mine is a 1,5v motor, and the motor to a power supply, in my case a 1.5v solar panel from Australian electronics retailer Jaycar. Not, perhaps, prototypical, but a bit of fun!
